I recently joined the lab as a PhD student at SciLifeLab and the Department of Ecology, Environment and Plant Sciences (Stockholm University), being co-supervised by Hanna Johannesson. Prior to this, I was involved in research on soil fungal community ecology, fungal conservation, and systematics. Fungi and their remarkable ability to form symbiotic relationships are one of my main broad scientific interests. As such, my PhD project will initially focus on understanding the spatial genetic structure and diversity of mycobionts within lichen thalli, as well as aspects of sexual reproduction and lichen symbiosis, with a focus on Xanthoria species.
Outside the lab, you will find me drinking (more) coffee, biking, and taking photos.
